Our school is a state primary education (secondary school) institute. In total 26 staff serve and 276 students get education at our school. Our students are between age of 10 and 14/15. In our school, courses in Turkish, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, English, Religion and Ethics, Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Technology and Design, Information Technologies are taught.
Elective courses include Intelligence Games, Folk Culture, Writing Skills, Environmental Education, Science skills etc. lessons are being taught. Our school is a boarding school and teachers reside at teacher housing located within the boundaries of the school. For this reason, teachers are always in contact with the students. Our staff consist of young and dynamic teachers and all teachers are well trained in their fields. We want to join this project, because we are eagle to improve communication skills of our students and see new cultures. At the same time, we are aware that we can contribute to the project by sharing our cultural rich and experiences that we had from the previous projects. With the project, we can also have an opportunity to see their level of education and educational environment and opportunity to implement within the good examples and facilities in our school. Key staff involved in the project: Ahmet POLAT (School Manager) – He had a part in the Europian Union Project as a Project officer before. Abidin KARAKUŞ (Assistant Manager) – He knows English very well and is very experienced in international projects. He has been a Coordinator on the European Union project. Vahap TAN (Physical Education and Sports Teacher) – National athlete, field hockey player and a coach of a school football team. He has a degree in the open field championship under the age of 21. In the national team he participated in the tournaments in Serbia, Croatia, Czech Republic and Portugal and won championships. He participates in national and international matches for his club and national team actively. Recep Sarıbaş (Visual Arts Teacher) – Artist. Province representative of United artist club. Our teacher has taken part in exhibition and concerts and he has participated in personal, partner and school exhibitions with his own works. Serap CEBE EROĞLU (English Language Teacher) – She had training of drama use in English Language Teaching. She knows English at advanced level. Ali Cengiz (Turkish Language Teacher) – He is the editor of school newspaper and magazine. Our school and our staff can contribute many experiences and cultural components to the project. We also can share a lot of experiences from the previous project to the new partners. Our educational systems and the programme we cover in our school, can give some different ideas the other partners in the project. As for make the students involving in the project more sociable, our students can build new friendships with them. They can have sociable times. They can get influenced by the other cultures.
